Joaquin Phoenix has entered rehab for treatment of alcohol abuse. "He was uncomfortable with the way that he was living his life," says his rep, "and found the courage to deal with his disease." The Gladiator actor reportedly checked into the undisclosed facility two weeks ago. |

Per Variety, the Limp Bizkit front man is shopping around My Life With Fred Durst, a weekly one-hour reality series that'll feature a mix of celeb interviews and slice-of-life segments revealing Durst as a father, businessman and musician. Several cabler outlets have reportedly expressed interest... in airing anything but this. |

UPN has announced that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's new reality series will debut with a special one-hour episode on May 17. As previously reported, the parents-to-be will chronicle their white trash-themed courtship, engagement and wedding via exclusive, never-before-seen home videos. |

Showtime is developing an original movie about the creators of the videogame phenom Doom. The flick will be based on David Kushner's book Masters of Doom, which chronicles the rags-to-riches story of Doom's twentysomething founders John Carmack and John Romero. |
SCI FI STUFF
The Sci Fi Channel has tapped Michael Douglas to produce a weekly series that is being billed as Desperate Housewives meets The Twilight Zone. The still-untitled project will be based on the life and work of late author Shirley Jackson (The Haunting of Hill House). Sci Fi has also greenlit Barbarian Chronicles, a half-hour animated spoof of Lord of the Rings. |

Lost hunk Josh Holloway has found something to do during his hiatus. Per Variety, Holloway has been cast as the lead in the Universal flick Whisper.
