MARCIA'S HAIR-RAISING FRIGHT

Desperate Housewives star MARCIA CROSS let out a blood-curdling scream when her hair suddenly got sucked into the whirling blades of a giant wind fan during a Harper's Bazaar photo shoot! A safety mechanism shut the fan off, but strands of Marcia's hair were hopelessly entangled in the blades. A hairdresser yelled to an assistant, "Scissors!"... but the star shrieked, "NO!... NO SCISSORS! DON'T CUT MY HAIR!" The hairdresser worked feverishly to detach Marcia's tresses, but she had to sit still — in tears — for nearly an hour while technicians dismantled the fan. When finally freed, Marcia was so shaken the shoot had to be rescheduled.
